We have recently updated our Learning to Fly information page which contains all the updated information about the Recreational Pilots Licence (RPL) and Private Pilots Licence (PPL). This includes indicative costs for each type of licences, the benefits and limitations of each, minimum hours required, etc.
With the introduction of the RPL or Recreational Pilots Licence – students now have access to a much faster and more affordable method of getting flying without the restrictions that were previously placed on the GFPT. The RPL is intended for people who aren’t going to pursue a career in aviation and just want to enjoy the experience of flying for pleasure.
For more information see your Learning to Fly page.
*This is an indicative cost only. Costs vary depending on wide variety of factors and this should be considered a minimum for aircraft and instructor hire for someone with exceptional ability and existing equipment.
