Become a pilot from as little as $6460*

We have recently updated our Learning to Fly information page which contains all the updated information about the Recreational Pilots Licence (RPL) and Private Pilots Licence (PPL). This includes indicative costs for each type of licences, the benefits and limitations of each, minimum hours required, etc.

With the introduction of the RPL or Recreational Pilots Licence – students now have access to a much faster and more affordable method of getting flying without the restrictions that were previously placed on the GFPT. The RPL is intended for people who aren’t going to pursue a career in aviation and just want to enjoy the experience of flying for pleasure.

For more information see your Learning to Fly page.

*This is an indicative cost only. Costs vary depending on wide variety of factors and this should be considered a minimum for aircraft and instructor hire for someone with exceptional ability and existing equipment.

Event: RACWA 50 year dinner

When: 21st Feb 2015, 6pm
Where: Royal Aero Club, Jandakot
Cost: $50 unless you are a Racwa member (it’s $40 for racwa members)
More info: http://www.royalaeroclubwa.com.au/events/details/id/156/
Tickets: from Racwa cashier or call them to book over the phone.

Since there’s not really much info on their website I called them to find out what is happening:
I was told the entry fee includes a spit roast dinner, nibbles, drink on arrival and dessert. The bar is open for further drinks pay as you go. In terms of presentations there will apparently be plenty of presentations of photos, videos, etc. from the club and Jandakot history.
Should be quite an interesting night.
