Membership Agreement

I hereby apply for membership in the University Flying Club Incorporated ("UFC"). I agree to abide by the UFC's rules and regulations as passed from time to time.

I agree to operate the UFC's aircraft with due care whilst in my care, to ensure the aircraft is properly secured, tied down, and all control locks are in place after each flight, and to promptly report all defects, damage, unserviceabilities, breakages, and loss of the UFC's aircraft, equipment, and property to the UFC committee.

I agree that I am liable for the repair of damage or the insurance excess, whichever is the lesser, that occurs while the aircraft is in my care or as a result of my failure to properly secure or stow the aircraft after my flight.

I agree that I am liable for any and all costs incurred by UFC as a result of my misuse of the aircraft, including but not limited to: exceedance of any published aircraft limitations; dangerous and/or reckless manoeuvres; failure to review and/or follow published aircraft documentation and procedures; landing incidents including any hard landing and associated inspections or repairs; aerobatics.

I agree that the aircraft is to be used for "private pleasure and business". The aircraft is not to be used for commercial purposes or in competitions.

I certify that I am not using or intending to use the UFC's aircraft primarily or systematically to accumulate flight hours toward a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).

I acknowledge that UFC members are expected to actively contribute to the club through participation in club activities, busy bees, and other duties. Members who are consuming excessive flying hours without meaningfully contributing to the club may have their aircraft access restricted or membership revoked at the discretion of the committee.

I certify that I hold a current and valid pilot licence, medical certificate, and flight review, and that I meet all Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requirements for flight at all times when operating the UFC's aircraft. I acknowledge that it is my sole responsibility to ensure my qualifications and currency are maintained.
